Application characteristics
The unbleached or bleached pulp contains trace amounts of transition metal ions (including iron, manganese, copper, etc.).
Metal ions catalyze and accelerate the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide, reduce bleaching efficiency and increase consumption. In alkaline condition
(pH=10-11), catalyzed accelerated decomposition of hydrogen peroxide produces highly oxidizing free radicals.
The radicals can degrade the fibers and reduce the bleaching effect of hydrogen peroxide.
MAIN CS440 is an environmentally friendly chelating agent and does not contain phosphorus.
MAIN CS440 has strong chelating ability to metal ions (such as iron, copper, manganese, etc.) contained in pulp.
The binding ability can complex metal ions and effectively prevent the catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide.
MAIN CS440 has a wide range of pH applications and can effectively stabilize the system in the range of pH=4-12.
The decomposition rate of hydrogen peroxide.
MAIN CS440 can partly or completely replace sodium silicate to prevent the formation of silica scale and improve efficiency.
MAIN CS440 can be biodegraded without additional environmental burden.
The optimum dosage of MAIN CS440 is 2-3KG/t pulp. The specific effect depends on the process conditions, as appropriate.
